Drew Gordon

Drew Gordon

Drew Gordon, pianist extraordinaire and true friend, passed out of this world on September 13th, 2006. It is not something I find palatable to think or write about, even now. His death, ruthless and unexpected, has left jagged holes in the realms of music and friendship, and devastating loss for his wife Emily. It is my prayer and my belief that his spirit lives on in the tremendous, vast, and generous music he created for, and with, us all. All. With love, Drew, you will be remembered always.

By way of biographical information, Drew's vast and varied musical contributions include work with Children's Theater Company, National Public Radio, Shawn McConneloug and her Orchestra, and many more. He worked as a player and/or composer in local bands the New Psychenauts, the Swingin' Combo, the Harry Strobel Band and Gondwana. Throughout his 25-plus years in professional music, he was acclaimed and revered as a composer, arranger, teacher and keyboardist.
